Velvet lined to protect my jewellery and valuables. Glass doesnt feel thin or fragile. Its mirrored so refelcts the colours and the light however you can still see through it. Hinges are good quality to withstand the opening and closing. Would make a really beautiful gift." This is really pretty to look at. It’s quite a shallow box but has a nice tray inside to hold your rings and earrings. What lets it down for me is the workmanship of the casing - the metal on the casing is very rough, particularly at the edges on top, so mind your fingers as I cut mine. Maybe it was just mine, and yours will be ok. I think it’s a little pricey too. However, it is quite elegant and nice to look at. I love it! I have almost all the items in this set and they are gorgeous! I received all pieces, in tact and unbroken! Really love them. 10/10 and great quality.
